The amount of people that came in with trucks from Leslie County this morning was God’s answer to so many prayers. I am SO THANKFUL AND AMAZED!
I think we sent out over 25 truck loads full of close to $100k worth of donation items this morning! Trucks were going to many shelters and donation drop-off points in Knott County, Perry County, Letcher County, Breathitt County, Buckhorn, Jenkins, and Leslie County.
Our football, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, track, cross country, softball, and baseball teams were all represented this morning. Our student-athletes unloaded this semi-truck that brought an AMAZING amount of supplies, food, water, and more. They unloaded a Big Creek Missions Van full of supplies, as well as a school bus full. They sorted through and organized kids and adult clothes. They loaded every truck and trailer until they were filled to the brim. They cleaned up the trash. They did anything and everything they were asked.
I love my county so much and all of the people in it. I love my Leslie County Sports family, my Leslie County School District family, and my whole community.
I work with some amazing human beings and they deserve to be recognized for everything they do! They would never ask to be, so I had to get on here and personally thank them and praise them. So thankful to serve next to you all.
