Congressman Rogers' Statement Previewing President Biden's State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05), Dean of the House, will join House Speaker Mike Johnson as part of President Joe Biden’s Escort Committee for the State of the Union address. Congressman Rogers issued a statement in anticipation of the President's remarks to the Joint Session of Congress.

“After the last three years, the American people already know what to expect from President Biden – a nation in crisis, with an overrun southern border and a weakened posture in the eyes of our adversaries, like Russia and China," said U.S. Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers. "I echo the concerns of our people in Southern and Eastern Kentucky who want a secure border, safer communities and an end to sticker shock at every turn."

Rogers continued, "We have been riddled with liberal policies that have torn at the very fabric of our country’s cloak of liberty, and our people are deeply concerned about the direction we are headed with the Biden Administration." He added, "The American people are ready for a change in the White House, and a country that makes them feel safe and secure."
