Cost of college went up for all students at Union College

Tuition and fees rose 4.1 percent for 2018-19 at Union College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kentucky students paid $27,140 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,060 more than the $26,080 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 246 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.9 million and 207 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.3 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,333), 868 students used grants or scholarships totaling $16.6 million, and 711 students took out $4.4 million in federal student loans.
