University of the Cumberlands issued the following announcement on Nov. 23
University of the Cumberlands music students Yu-Chien Huang and Allison Lambdin competed in the Ashland Area Music Teachers Association 2019 Memorial Scholarship Classical Piano Competition on Saturday, November 16, in the Collegiate/Young Artist Division. Both performed very well in the competition, with Yu-Chien taking first place and Allison taking second!
Yu-Chien and Allison both study piano with UC professor Desirée Scarambone. Mrs. Scarambone said of their performances, “Yu-Chien and Allison both played beautifully and with great poise. Performing under pressure such as this develops an aspect of character that will serve them well in their future endeavors. The Music Department at University of the Cumberlands can be proud of the representation of these two lovely and mature musicians.”
